| Game Summary |
The Desert Dogs came back to edge the Diablos in a well-played game by both teams. The Dogs' Harry Sharp streaked home with the winning run on a single by Brian O'Connell in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Diablos had taken early leads of 4-0 and then 7-4 on timely hitting and sterling defense. Nolan Megrouni-Brown drove in the first two Desert Dog runs with a triple, and John Tierney followed with a single to bring in Nolan, who had four RBIs for the game. Meanwhile, Noel Rodriguez shut down the Diablos with three scoreless innings of relief pitching. The defensive play of the game for the Desert Dogs was a game-saving catch in left center field in the top of the sixth by James Rorie. All the players on both teams contributed to an exciting game. |
