| Game Summary | In an exciting battle that saw 8 lead changes, the Rockhounds rallied for 8 runs in the top of the sixth to overcome a 15-11 deficit to defeat the Desert Dogs. For the Rockhounds, Jonathon Lomax went 4-4 at the plate and made his pitching debut. Jesse Wheaton drove in the tying run in the top of the sixth, two batters later, Pascal Cristofalo hit a 3 run triple to cement the victory. Henry Zaballos pitched magnificently in relief striking out 6 in three innings. Zaballos also went 3-4 at the plate. The Desert Dogs took an early lead behind the pitching of Sam Edie and the bats of Kevin del Fante and John Tierney, who stroked a bases-loaded triple. Harry Sharp also sparked the offense with a double. |
