Game Summary | The Eagles had a breakout game on Monday May 12, scoring in every inning but the 5th. Austin Blessing got the Eagles started with a 2 out, 2 RBI single in the 1st. The Eagles scored single runs in the 2nd and 3rd and opened the game up with 5 runs in the 4th with RBI singles by Graham Reese-Gawthorne and Sam Yeider, 2 RBI Double by Max Stayman and the scoring was completed with an RBI single by Samy Izebboudjen. In the bottom of the 5th the Volcanoes got on the board with a 2 RBI Double by Joseph. The Eagles responded with 8 runs in the top of the 6th to put the game away. The Eagles were led on the mound by Peter Walton with 4 strikeouts in his 2 innings of work. He was followed by Johnny Trainor who pitched well getting out of a bases loaded jam by striking out 2 and getting a groundout to thwart the threat. Max Stayman came on in relief and retired the side after giving up the 2 runs. |
