| Game Summary | With outstanding defense and great hitting, the Mudcats defeated the previously unbeaten Rockhounds 13 - 7. After trailing for the first two innings the Mudcats rallied in the third to pull ahead for good. Julien Levy, Ben Dandridge-Lemco, Jake Scornaienchi, Max Rosenfeld, Jason Vallerga, Ethan Carr, Brennan Smith, Spencer Marx, and Ricky Rodgers contributed with multiple hits. Defensively David Perlin and Eddie Scott shined on the field. Mudcat pitchers John Symen-Bucher, Julien Levy, Ben Dandridge-Lemco, and Joel Klonoff had strong outings. The Rockhounds collected 11 hits as Jonathon Lomax, Robert Gardyne and Jordan Crosby all had two hits each. The defensive play of the game for the Rockhounds was made at third base by Kyle Phillips with an outstanding throw across the diamond by Peter Baldwin which caught a Mudcat runner attempting to advance to third. A great win for the Mudcats! |
