Game Summary | In a seasaw battle, filled with strong hitting and defense, the Knights rallied from a 4 run defict entering the sixth innings to pull out the win. After a 12 run top of the 6th, Alex Musbach came on in the bottom of the sixth to strike out the side for the save. Max Simon made a catch in deep right center on a smash off a Sea Dog batter. The Sea Dogs threw out a Knights runner trying to score from second on a base hit. For the Sea Dogs Matt Mercier made the great relay that set up the play. Evan Daniel got the game winning RBI on a bases loaded walk on a full count, after fouling off pitches to say alive at the plate and keep the rally alive. Steven Stein scored 4 runs for the Knights, going 3 for 3 and two walks to spark the Knights offense from the lead off position. Alon August provided the power for the Knights, going 5 for 5 with two doubles and sixth RBIs. For the Sea Dogs Matt Mercier made the great relay that got that out at home. |
