Team Summaries	Raptors Notes: I ran into Max at the grocery store today and he asked me why I don't do game recaps on Sportability. I said, 'I used to but I never thought anyone read them.' Max responded, 'I do.' Message received. . . . It was a great day of baseball on Sunday morning, made possible thanks to a big effort from our field crew. The Raptors started off a little slow in their first 9:30am game and quickly found themselves in a 5-0 hole against a very strong Lake Monsters team. Great pitching from Sam D and Max held the Monsters in check through the final three innings and allowed the Raptors to mount an incredible comeback. The Raptors found life when Marcus O scored the Raptors first run on an RBI single by Shaun M. They continued to chip away at the Lake Monsters lead thanks to some timely hitting, including a clutch 2-out RBI double from Will B. The defensive play of the game was made by Shaun who speared Ari's laser shot in CF for the Lake Monsters final out in the top of the 5th. Ultimately the strong Lake Monsters pitching trio (Bennett, Owen, Jonah) was too much to overcome and the comeback fell 1 run short. It was a great performance by both sides and left everyone looking forward to the rematch in a few weeks. Game ball goes to Shaun M for his great defense and aggressive bat. Shout outs to Sam D and Max R for great pitching performances and big hits. Lake Monsters Notes: Some wonderful high quality AA baseball on display this morning at Reservoir. The Lake Monsters jumped out to an early 5-0 lead using RBI's by Owen, Bennett and Nathaniel. Raptor pitchers then shut (slammed) the door on the Monsters in the third, allowing just one run in the next three frames. With the tying run on second in the bottom of the last, Jonah gets a strikeout and pop out to 1B to seal the deal. Bennett throwing out a stealing runner at second in a first and third situation for the inning's first out may have been the key moment in an exciting finish. Bennett gets the game ball. Roman rewards Rafi game hat for his towering drive into the redwoods on his way to a 2-3 day.
