Marauders Notes:
Great start for the Marauders! 6 pitchers combined for the 12-2 victory, highlighted by stellar defense and timely hitting.
The key to victory was pinpoint control by the pitching staff, led by starter Charlie M, who set the tone for the rest of the staff with a 1-2-3 first inning. Caleb G pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th to close out the win.
Nico L ,at 3B, and Eli H, on the mound, made spectacular plays on 2 hard hit grounders in the 4th. Paul W made the play of the game with a rare 9-3 assist on a putout from RF on a hard grounder in the 3rd.
The offensive attack was paced by Maceo S, who had 2 hits, including a 2 RBI line drive double in the 1st. Other key hits came from Joe S in the 1st and Sean H, who had a bases loaded single and RBI in the 4th.
