The Royals and Tigers played a superb defensive game. The Royals were led by the excellent pitching of Tommy O. who allowed one run on 5 hits, striking out 11. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 4th when back-to-back doubles by Stuart J. and Torre M. gave the Tigers the lead. The Royals came back in the top of the 5th with 4 runs of their own led by singles by Zander Y and Tyre M and a double by Tommy O. In the bottom of the 6th the Tigers loaded the bases with no one out. Tommy O. dug deep and retired the next three batters preserving a hard fought victory for the Royals. Joe M. had two hits for the Royals and Tynan D. made several nice plays in the field.
