Game Summary | Giants 6; White Sox 1 Amidst the dust devils at Holy Names, a defensive gem of a baseball game broke out. Both teams displayed stellar defensive skills, starting with Will G. of the White Sox stopping two rockets down first base for unassisted putouts. Andie R., who went three for three, went airborne to snatch a line drive before it hit the gap. The Giants bats however would not quit, led once again by Christian H.'s hot bat. While everyone hit the ball, the Giants displayed their own defensive prowess with Andrew H. making spectacular catches in center field and Brandon C. holding down the infield with several putouts. Behind Jon C.'s first complete game win (60 pitches over six innings), the game fittingly ended with James G.'s unassisted double play at first base catching a pop up and diving back to the bag to beat out the runner. |
