Royals Notes:
The Yankees completed their 2 game sweep of the year over the Royals. The
game faced 2 evenly matched pitchers and teams. The Yankees took advantage
of their few scoring opportunities while the Royals were held in check till
the 6th inning. The Royals never die attitude showed itself once again in
the 6th inning, scoring a run and then having the tying run at the plate
when the game ended. Thomas M. struck out 13 of the 15 hitters he faced
allowing only 2 hits. Matthew K. pitched the last inning for the save.
Thomas M. had a no hitter into the 5th inning when Kyle J. and Zander Y. put
together back to back hits. For the Yankees Thomas M. and Josh V. had a
single and double each. Tommy O. pitched well for the Royals striking out 8
and allowing 5 hits.
