Game Summary | In a game that featured some great pitching and defense the Royals outlasted the White Sox 6-2. The Royals southpaw Michael Gr. raised his record to 5-1. He pitched a complete game masterpiece throwing only 63 pitches for the entire game. Michael G. pitching for the White Sox was in several jams but held the Royals scoreless for the first 3 innings. Kyle J. drove in the game winning runs with a 2 rbi single in the 4th inning. In the bottom of the 4th after the Royals jumped ahead 3-0, Ned L. took one over the center field fence with a man on board to bring the White Sox to within 3-2. Michael Gr. aided his own cause with a 2 run rbi single in the top of the 5th. Mark B. Ryan B and Tyre M each had 2 hits for the Royals. Tommy O. played some brilliant defense at shortstop for the Royals. |
