| Game Summary | Royals 9, Red Sox 1 Following the barnburner Orioles - A's game, the Red Sox and Royals squared up at Holy Names. This game promised to be a showdown of two of the leagues big guns, Eric J. and Tommy O'M.. The boys did not disappoint. The Royals opened the top of the first with two runs on a clutch two out hit by Michael G. that plated two runs. Eric J. stiffened and did not allow another run for 4 innings. Tommy O'M. was up to the match holding the Red Sox. Nice defensive plays by Tynan D., John V. and Zander Y. kept the Royals off the bases. In the top of the 5th Luke W. laid down a perfect bunt that started a 7 run rally. Joe M. plated a run with his first hit as a Royal. Tyre M. and Michael G. each had 2 hits, with Michael G. driving in 3 runs. |
