Team Summaries A's Notes:
The A's took advantage of shaky first inning pitching by Eric J. and scored 2 runs early in their first win of the season against the undefeated Red Sox.
Eric J. later cleared the bases with a 3 run double to center field putting the Sox ahead 4-2. Keys hits by Josh F. and Gabe F., along with 2 RBIs each for Spyq S. and Adam R. kept the A's in it.
In the top of the 6th with the score tied at 5, the Red Sox threatening with a runner on third, Adam R. denied the Sox the go ahead run with a nicely executed 1st to home double play as the A's defense shows the spark its been missing in the first 3 games.
Seth B. led off the bottom of the 6th with a single and scored on a stolen base and 2 past balls to end the game.
Charlie S. notched his first win and Seth Benson gets credit for the save.

Red Sox Notes:
The red-hot Red Sox were brought down to earth as the A’s scored in the bottom of the sixth to win 6-5.The A’s scored early on several walks and infield plays that gave them an early 2-0 lead. In the third, the Red Sox loaded the bases with walks, and then Eric J. hit a double to deep right center to score three runs. At the end of the inning it was 4-2 Red Sox. The A’s then battled back over the next two innings to lead 5-4 going into the top of the sixth. With one out Michael K. got a rally started by beating out an infield hit. Noah K. then doubled to deep right center, scoring Michael K. as the tying run all the way from first. The A’s then snuffed out the Red Sox rally by fielding a ground ball out at first and throwing out Noah K. at the plate for an inning ending double play. The A’s then turned the tables and got a runner on early in the bottom of the sixth. Aggressive base running allowed the runner to score and the A’s ended up defeating the Red Sox 6-5. The Red Sox record now stands at 3-1!
