| Game Summary | After an evening of rain it was doubtful this game would be played. But thanks to the efforts of the Rangers/Brewers field crew and the Royals/Angels field crews the field was in excellent shape for this afternoon delight. This game was not for the week of heart as runs were plentiful. The Angels jumped off to a quick 2 run lead in the top of the first. The Royals came back in their half to manufacture a run. Then the fun began the Royals notched 4 runs in the second, 5 runs in the 3rd and single runs in the 4th and 5th. The Angels to their credit never said die and added a single run in the 3rd, 5 runs in the 4th and a single run in the 5th. With the game still in the balance Tyre M. put the side down in order in the 6th, preserving the hard fought victory for the Royals. |
