| Game Summary | Rangers 9, A's 2 On a sun-drenched saturday afternoon, the Rangers prevailed in the inaugural game at the New Ballpark at Chabot. The heart of the Rangers order carried the day, with Matt L. going 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI's, and a run scored, Alex R. knocking 3 hits, an RBI and scoring twice, and Jacob C. going 2 for 2 with a walk, a run and an RBI. Mike M. led off the season at Chabot with a single and a run in the top of the first and added a double and another run in the fifth. Mike tossed his third consecutive complete game win, allowing 4 hits and one unearned run with 7 K's. For the A's, Seth B. drove 2 balls to deep left field and scored both of the A's runs. |
