Down to their last 4 outs The Red Sox battled back from a 4-2 deficit to take the lead in the 5th inning: With the bases loaded Keenan Walch and Eric Jaffe hit back-to-back doubles driving int three. Eric Jaffe pitched a complete game, striking out 10 White Sox. Fine defensive play by Jake Leitner-Zeif, who snagged a hard hit fly ball to right to end a White Sox rally, and Nikoh Hernandez, who turned an overthrown ball into an out at the plate, along with heads up play by center fielder Nick Kowalski, helped preserve the victory for the Red Sox |
