| Team Summaries | Islanders Notes: After a wet week, Saturday brings a baseball bounty - clear skies and temps in the 70s! The Islanders broke out the reliable formula - pitching and defense - holding the Knights scoreless thru 4 and to just 4 overall. Mumbles opened with 2 nearly perfect innings helped out by 'Duke nailing a runner stealing. RC added a gutsy inning in the 4th. Stealing home was new this week, and Team Haka made the most of the new rule. The first run of the day was a Skittles production, as he walked to lead off the 2nd, then stole twice before scampering home in an inning that otherwise saw 3 Ks. In the 3rd they swiped home four times before Jumbo blasted an inning ending RBI single to left. The Islander defense shone in the third behind David - Mumbles caught two flies in left and Blanco took care of a runner unassisted to end the inning. Called Up: Jumbo Knights Notes: |
