| Team Summaries | Islanders Notes: The Islanders, fresh off an Opening Day victory arrived Sunday afternoon feeling strong and looking to test their depth at pitcher. Wubba started strong - a couple of walks led to a couple runs in the top of the first, but the Islanders responded with 2 singles and a double to tie it up. After 2 quick outs in the 2nd, tho, Wubba lost the zone and walked several Crawfords. Skittles came on, but couldn't do much better for an inning plus. David finally settled down the Islanders' pitching staff getting out of the third, but not before the Crawfords were up 12-5. In the bottom of the third, Rocky dropped a 2-RBI sac bunt and the Islanders were back in business. 'Duke pitched the final 2 frames and did wonderfully, facing just 8 striking out 6 to keep it close. Team Haka would load the bases in each of the final 2 frames, but failed to push a run across and never quite made up the deficit. Called Up: Wubba Crawfords Notes: |
