Canadians Notes:
In anticipation of a bright new season, the Canadians donned bright new socks early Sun morning!

It might have been the socks, or possibly the hours of work in the cages, but Des took the first pitch of the season over the center fielder's head for a leadoff triple. The Canadians were unable to bring him home safely, tho, with Monarch MattR stranding 3 baserunners. The Canadians would scratch out individual runs in the 2nd on a sacrifice by Marshmallow and in the 3rd on a bases loaded walk by Spike.

Leading just 2-0, the Canadians put together a crooked number in the 6th, plating 3 - two on Mosquito's blast to the gap in right.

The stars of the day were the Canadian's pitching staff! Ginsu struck out 5 thru 2 innings, Jalen, Ninja and Grandpa faced a total of 10 batters thru 3 innings work. Slinky closed with 3 more Ks. They were helped immensely by some great defense - Fingers tracked down a foul liner behind 1st base and a hyper-focused NapTime was on the receiving end of a 3-4 putout at first base!
