Lookouts Notes:
That's the best I've ever felt after a loss! The score doesn't tell the whole story here, as the Creepy Eyes played the best game they've played all year. The Big Guns, coached by two of the finnest men in the league, had their usual hitting shoes on, and got on the shoulders of a manchild they call Gus!

For the first time in a long time, the lumber was making some noise on the Lookout side of the diamond. The hitting attack was lead by Hillbilly's two scorching singles to left, D-Griff and Urkle with solid line drives, and, oh yeah, a blast from Sandman (formally known as Papa Grande).

The Eyes' pitching was great, too. If not for a few tough plays in the field, this game would have been a lot closer. J-Ro, Country Boy, and the Smiling Gramps were lights out for most of the game. They deserved a better fate today than the 11 runs on the board.

So many choices for the game ball today. Yahoo with another stellar day behind the plate (if he's not one of the best catchers in the league, I don't know who is) and aggresive running on the base paths. D-Griff for working through his hitting slump and powering a ball in the gap in left field. Hillbilly coming to life with the bat with two line drives that nearly took the glove off of the left fielder. At the end of the day, the game ball has to go to Urkle with some top shelf fielding at first base, and fighting through his own slump and putting good wood (metal!) on the ball, not once, but twice! A second game ball went to Sandman, for showing patience at the plate with a key walk in the seond inning, the 'blast heard 'round the Big Chill' in the 4th, and being able to walk off the field on his own power in the 6th after getting hit with a 200 mph fast ball from Gus! Great game Urkle and Sandman.
