| Team Summaries | Osprey Notes: Defense was the name of the game as the Osprey survived a 6th inning rally by the Sounds on a spectacular evening at Caldecott. The key inning in the game was the top of the 4th. After the Sounds loaded the bases with nobody out, pitcher Ben H, who also had two hits, dug in and threw strikes. His defense did the rest. SS Ezra F retired the next batter on a 6-2 fielder’s choice at home. 3B-man Rudy B then caught a high pop up. Fenner then retired the next batter 6-3. In 5th inning, the Sounds kept pounding the ball-- and the Osprey continued to catch it. Connor Gilliken had a 1-2-3 inning on three well hit fly outs—one to Patch Fechtemeyer in right; one to Jose-MariaVila-Boas in center and the last to Lucas Dodson in left-F7,F8,F9. Not be outdone, Ethan S snagged a fly ball in right for the first out in the 6th. Ciaran Fitzgerald, Cas Graffagna and Oliver Purves also had put outs in the field on night all 11 Osprey in attendance contributed on defense. Sounds Notes: |
