Stars Notes:
A close game to close out the pair of games between the Stars and the Hammerheads. In the first meeting, the Hammerheads blew out the Stars, but this was a different game. The Stars came out in the top of the first and plated 5 runs. We had several extra base hits, including one from small but hard hitting Lucas F. Justin N hit his second HR of the season and added a double to take 6 TB for the day. Excellent pitching outings for Caden C who had a season high 4 Ks and 2.2 innings pitched. All of the Stars pitchers recorded outs and for the second time we had a game with 3 put outs in every inning. The Stars gave up the lead in the 4th and came back in top 5 to take a 1 run lead. We only allowed two runs in the bottom of the 5th and missed going into a 6th inning by just a few minutes. Good baseball played by both teams!
