| Team Summaries | Astros Notes: The Astros brought their bats to beautiful Witter field as they banged out 18 hits to take a second round contest with the always tough Pelicans, who were battling injuries and some untimely absences, in addition to the tough Astro hitters. The Astros erupted for 13 first inning runs and never lloked back. Paced by Daniel K who banged out 4 doubles, and Big T (Theodus A), who drove in 6 runs, the Astros sent 18 players to the plate in the opening frame. Then it was up to the pitchers...Sean, the Big Dog was outstanding for 3 innings...the 4th got a bit rocky, but Daniel then came in for the second time this season with the bases loaded, and as before, he escaped without allowing another runner to score. Spencer then closed it out, striking out 4 in 2 innings. The Astros move onto the TOC qualifier...a best of 3 affair with the Padres. Pelicans Notes: |
