| Team Summaries | Pelicans Notes: Making up a game that had been rescheduled twice, the Paw Sox and Pelicans were grateful that clear skies broke over beautiful Witter field Wednesday afternoon. The Pelicans sent ace BryceC against the Sox' JordanR, and both pitchers went right after the opposing hitters. Jordan took that a little too seriously, hitting ScottyR to lead off the bottom of the first. Bryce notched an RBI single in the first, and then a 3-run home run to deep left center gave the Pels a cushion. BrandenS and JasonS both had clutch hits for the Pelicans as well, and AlanB laid down a spectacular bunt in the 3rd. Bryce pitched 6 strong, giving way to TaharkaT who struck out 2 on his way to a 1-2-3 7th. Defensively, the Pelicans were spot on, with AlanB making several nice plays at third base and in center field (busy day for Alan). The WebGem of the night went to IanM who lept take a double away from SamS and then had the presence of mind to double BrianM off first.
