Team Summaries Reds Notes:
The Astros took advantage of all possible opportunities in the early innings, and held on to defeat the Reds in the last scheduled game of the regular season. Ben Z. pitched the last three innings of relief, striking out 6, allowing the Reds to score 6 runs in those last innings, and make a statement. Michael T., Tim M. and Wes. G-L has multi-hit games, while Bobby T. and Craig H. hit magnificent triples. The Reds are looking forward to the playoffs, which start for them on Wednesday.

Astros Notes:
A game with little more than pride and bragging rights between two top teams, failed to sparkle, but did not fail to entertain. The young Astros got out early, capitalizing on some infield hits and with some aggressive baserunning, the Astros took a 4-0 lead as Aaron, Spencer and Sean all managed to score without the ball leaving the dirt. Bryce was sharp early and he kept the Reds baserunners off base and off balance, picking off 1 runner. The 'Stros built a 10 run lead after 4 innings, but the Reds kept nibbling at the lead, and things got interesting with one on and one out in the 7th, and 3 runs in...but closer Spencer managed to stop tyhe bleeding, striking out 4 batters in the frame. Sean also got in a couple of good innings, and as always, Big T swung the bat with great success...Great defense by Eddy, Griffen and Daniel in the outfield kept things under control in the early going....not a classic, but both teams can be happy with the season just finished...and perhaps their paths will cross again?
