Team Summaries | Astros Notes: Pitchers for both squads stranded runners, and though it was not a classic pitcher’s duel, it was a classic baseball game. The Pelicans and Astros both managed to come from 2 runs back to tie the game, and we headed into the final frame at 7 apiece. A-Ron, lead off the bottom of the 7th with a solid line drive single, and with The Big Dog waiting on deck, Spencer 1 hopped the fence in right center, and A-Ron was off to the races and when he touched the plate, a great game had come to a close. Along the way, there were heroes for both teams. Bryce was tough through 5 innings from the hill, before a spot of trouble to start the 6th brought Spencer in to quell the uprising. Spencer worked his way out of a jam in the 7th as well. Meanwhile, sparkling defense from Big T, and gutsy effort behind the plate from Kani paced the tough Astro attack. Pelicans Notes: |
