Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Don't let the score fool you - pitching and defense was the key to the game for the T-Rats this afternoon. RedBull (3 IP) and the rest of the gang allowed just 6 walks. RedBull faced 12 batters over 3 innings, finishing in a tidy 50 pitches. Sarge added a great come-back inning on the mound in the 5th. On defense, Strawberry set the tone in the 1st when he fired across the diamond to KitKat to record a 5-3 putout. Late in the game, Q teamed up with Cottonball and KungFu to erase would-be base thieves; the T-Rats ended up nabbing 4 runners attempting to advance.

There were plenty of offensive highlights, as the Rockhounds pitchers were also consistently in the strikezone. RedBull crushed a couple of doubles on his way to scoring 5 runs; Clam, Rhino, Q and Sarge claimed 2 hits apiece.
