| Team Summaries | Pelicans Notes: The Pels played with their full team for the first time in 2010 this evening. Tigger toed the rubber to start and went 3 strong, giving up just 2 hits and picking off a runner. Krusty helped out with a running catch in deep center, and Cornflake and Bass contributed a few nice plays on the right side of the diamond as well. Pungo came on for the 4th and 5th. In the 5th he gave up a walk and 3 consecutive hits, the latter two of the infield variety thanks to immense range at short by Sarge. Keeping those balls on the infield kept the Reds to just 1 run in the top of the 5th and that sparked the Pels to a large rally in the bottom half. Squito and Rhino made their respective Juniors pitching and catching debuts in the 6th, and they both seemed to find their groove easily. Squito K'ed his first batter, and Rhino erased a later walk with a 2-6 caught stealing. Reds Notes: |
