Game Summary | Dateline: COLDICOTT 3/14/09 On a cold sunless morning the winless Islanders faced the equally winless yet strangely undefeated Muckdogs. Islander pitcher Aidan O'Brien got himself into early trouble by hitting season lead off batter Caleb Knight with a pitch. He promptly stole 2 bases. A walk and a defensive error loaded the bases before 2 strikeouts and a ball hit to first ended the inning. Pitchers on both teams battled cold arms against cold bats for a final score of Islanders 3, Muckdogs 1. Defensive stand out plays were made by Aidan Williams and Holden Dobbs of the Islanders. Muckdogs starting catcher Reuben Drogin and shortstop Issac Sherman made great plays to keep the score low. |
