| Game Summary | In a hard fought, exciting game, the Devil Rays jumped out to a 5 run lead in the 1st inning. The top of the second inning saw the Rivercats come back with 2 runs of their own matched by 2 more by the Devil Rays in the bottom. The next three innings the Rivercats scored 2, 5, and 1 runs while holding the Devil Rays to only 2. A tense, scoreless 6th inning left the final score at Rivercats 10, Devil Rays 9. Devil Ray starting pitcher Johnny F kept the Rivercat scoring down in the first 3 innings while the Rivercats got excellent relief pitching from Alex R and Liam B. Adrien S led the Rivercats offense with a single , a double and a walk. The Devil Rays offense was led by Evan S (3 for 3), Max W (2 for 3), and Nicky D (2 for 4), who knocked in 3 runs with a hard-hit double in the first inning. | ||
