Game Summary | The Islanders came back from a five-run deficit to defeat the Muckdogs, 10-9 in tense extra -inning contest that featured 5 lead changes. The win featured outstanding pitching by Tommy V. The Muckdogs had the bases loaded in the top of the 7th when Tommy V struck out three in a row to end the threat. Islander Alex B had the game-winning RBI with a walk-off hit that drove home Kyle from third in the bottom of the 7th. The contest was tight until the fourth inning when the Muckdogs scored five runs with a combination of hitting and aggressive base-stealing to take a 9-4 lead. Towering doubles by Patrick D, Tom R and Darius S ignited the Muckdog attack. In the fifth inning, the Islanders answered by scoring five runs of their own. |
