Game Summary | The game was a pitchers duel for the first two innings, with the Sounds manufacturing a run in each inning by scratching out a couple of hits off the stingy pitching of Scott O., and the Islanders staying scoreless on one hit pitching by Gabe J., who was backed up with outstanding defense. Things warmed up in the later innings when the Sounds exploded for 7 (only 5 count) in the 5th off a towering 3 run HR by Krister E. who went 4 for 4 on the day with 7 RBI's. The Islanders came roaring back, and gave the Sounds a real scare with a 3 run rally that finally fell short on a running catch in the outfield by Gabe J. with 2 outs and the bases loaded. |
