Jason Ravetti’s accurate shooting allowed him to have a game high eleven points to lead the Parker Orthodontic Blackhawks to victory over the Golden Bears. Tai Espino had his best game of the year with nine points and three rebounds. Cameron Ba finished with seven points and four rebounds while Robin Suralta continues his rebounding domination with 9 team-high rebounds. The game was close at halftime with the Blackhawks leading 14-12. Tai Espino was on the ground fighting for a loose ball, gained control, and passed the ball across the court to a guarded Julian Sazo. Sazo makes a great catch, and he put the ball in the basket. The Blackhawks pulled away for the victory because of great defense and four late rebounds by Peter Lassalle-Klein. The Golden Bears’ big man, Cameron Yuen, grabbed three rebounds and put four points on the board. Jason Gee and Amado Lozano also scored well with 2 buckets each (four points) Overall, the team continued to play exceptional team defense featuring man-to–man and a few zones to keep their opponents off balance. |
