Game Summary | The Monarchs held off a furious last inning rally by the Astros to win, 5-3. Kenji KyFries pitched no-hit ball for three innings for the Monarchs. He also singled and scored a run. Nathaniel Lowhurst had two hits for the Monarchs. Marcus Miller and Brandon Bunner each singled and scored a run. Centerfielder Keenan Barry made a nice catch on a hard hit fly ball, and threw a strike to first base, doubling off a runner. Joncarl Luckett pitched a scoreless inning, striking out three. For the Astros, the Peterson brothers (Miles and Calum) combined for three hits. With two outs in the 6th, Luke Smith's double started a three run rally with hits from Quinn Barnett, Robby Crosby, and Woodrow Creech. |
