| Team Summaries | Issaquah Notes: Vashon 3-1-2-2-0- 8 Issaquah 1-4-1-2-1- 9 A great one tonight in Issaquah as this one had a playoff like intensity to it. Issaquah opened the scoring just 16 seconds in as Nick Yaap won the faceoff and proceeded to score unassisted. Vashon calmly and quickly regrouped and took advantage of Issaquah's inability to match-up on defense to score 3 unanswered. Issaquah fought back in the second with 3 goals in a span of less than 50 seconds, capped by Todd Jones feed to Joey Henderson that had the crowd and the sidelines fired up. Vashon tied the game in the third to set the stage for the back and forth 4th quarter. Issaquah struck first as Yaap found Cale Frye on a curl. Vashon responded 2 minutes later as Derek Kimbrough ripped his 6th of the evening. 30 seconds later Issaquah pressed the cage, but Thomas Waterbury made the save. As he went to outlet, Yaap snuck from behind the crease to pick off the pass and put Issaquah back up. Vashon tied the game 23 seconds later at 8 a piece. Each team had its chances in the final 5 minutes, but both keepers and both defenses met the challenges. In overtime, Yaap won the faceoff, immediately forced the issue and drew a flag. Vashon jumped Issaquah's play and seem to have it snuffed out. Alex Bates improvised and found Yaap sneaking from X. Yaap caught and finished over the keeper's left shoulder to end it!
