| Game Summary | On a warm afternoon at Chabot Field, the front-running A's and White Sox battled for a share of first place in the NOLL North Divison. The White Sox offense exploded for six runs in the early innings behind JordanR's inside the park grand slam off off the right field fence as A's right fielder DougC valliantly sprinted for the ball as it hit the fence. JordanR added a solo homer in the fifth, and Sox shortstop MichaelC made several nifty plays to help NedL pitch five innings, holding the explosive A's to four runs. SamD closed the game in the sixth. In a losing cause, A's DanielR had three hits, including a blast over the center field fence, for a final White Sox 9-5 win. |
