In a nailbiter under a hot sun the Orioles garnered their first win of the season over a game Red Sox team still looking for theirs. The Sox, behind EricJ (triple, double) held a slim lead throughout the game until the fifth, when the O's tied it. The Sox got solid pitching from BretH (3 innings). BryceC once again led the O's offense with a solo homer and a double, and ScottM (2 for 3) drove in the winning run in the sixth with an infield hit. ElliotP was gutsy in relief, slithering out of jams in all three innings he pitched, stranding 8 Red Sox on the bases. ), NikoH (2 hits) and KeenanW (2 hits) helped the Sox in their bid for their first victory.
