| Game Summary | High on a windswept field overlooking San Francisco Bay, the Sounds defeated the Monarchs 8 - 5 in a very well played game by both teams. The Sounds were led by Cameron Corwin who pitched 3 very strong innings, allowing only 2 earned runs, Brennan Popovic who pitched 2 scoreless innings, David Black who went 2-3 with a loud double to right center and Nile Izard who played a great 1st Base with several nice catches. The Monarchs were led by a player who brought the crowd to its feet in the 2nd inning, belting a pitch high off of the right field fence, missing a home run by inches..... |
