Team Summaries Pelicans Notes:
Oh, so close! The Pels put forth another GREAT game, this time holding the Reds to 2 runs. Unfortunately, the bats go quiet, and this one slips into the loss column.

BSenigar throws his second consecutive complete game, this time on just 80 pitches. 'Lightning' picked off another runner as well.

Good defense by SRevelli, SWeissman and NMiller and clutch hitting by IMurphy were key to keeping the Pels in the game. CLyons continued his RBI streak, driving in the lone Pel run in the 6th with a long double.

Here's wishing all the Pelicans' moms a Happy Mother's Day!

Reds Notes:
Andrew C. toed the rubber for the first time this year and pitched a complete game 3 hitter to lead the Reds to victory. The Reds kept the Pelicans off the scoreboard until there were 2 outs in the 6th inning and clinging to a 1-0 lead. Unable to muster much offense against the Pelicans starter Brendon S. the game was tied going into the 7th inning. Kevin R. started a 2 out rally in the top of the 7th with a ringing double to LF. Lucas F. followed with a base hit that drove in the go ahead run. It wouldn't be easy for the Reds on this day as the Pelicans had the tying and winning runs on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Andrew recorded the final out with a nifty pickoff of the runner on 3B- Game, Set, Match. The Reds received solid defense throughout the game with the highlight being a racing catch of a sinking liner by Kenny P. in LF. Any scoring opportunities that the Reds had were eliminated by the solid outfield play of the Pelicans as well as an infield that gobbled up everything, led by 3B Andy S.
