Reds Notes:
In a game much closer than the final score it's fair to say the Reds outlasted the Pawsox on a windy day in Berkeley. The Reds got on the scoreboard with a 2 run blast by Lucas F. in the top of the first. The Paw Sox tied the game in the bottom of the 1st with 3 runs of their own. The Reds reclaimed the lead in the top of the 2nd on another hit from Lucas but the Pawsox answered with a run in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd to create a 7-5 lead after 3 innings. The Reds cut the lead in the 5th inning to 7-6 after excellent baserunning from Keith H. Then the Reds bats caught fire and scored 14 runs in the last 2 innings to claim a 20-9 win. The 4 runs in the 6th inning were created by key hits from Bobbie T., Jon C., Lucas and Keith. In the 7th inning 9 reds reached base before an out could be recorded! A sequence of solid hits paved the way to this difficult victory. The Reds collected 19 hits and were led by Lucas F.(4 hits, 4 runs,4 RBI's), Kevin R(3 hits, 3 runs, 3 RBI's), Keith H.(3 hits, 2 runs, 4 RBI's), Bobbie T.(3 hits, 3 runs) and Jon C.(3 hits, 3 runs). The pitching and defense of the Reds found their stride as the game went on and limited the Pawsox to 2 runs over the last 4 innings. Ben Z. had his fourth solid outing in a row in relief of a game Kevin R.
The Pawsox received another solid outing from Isai D. and received key hits from Mike G., Tim R., Evan M. and Isai.
