| Team Summaries | Reds Notes: The Reds bested the Rockies behind the outstanding pitching of Lucas F. who gave up 5 hits while striking out 8 batters over 6 innings. The Reds received some timely hits and played outstanding defense in playing an errorless ball game. The offense held onto a 3-2 lead and then the Reds erupted for 6 runs in the 5th inning to take a 9-2 lead. A one out hit by Kenny P., a line drive single from Bobbie T., a walk to Craig H. and a double from Jon C. knocked in 2 runs. Kevin R. and Lucas followed with RBI singles and Andrew C.'s hard ground ball out knocked in the 6th run. Leading the offensive charge were Lucas, reached base 4 times including a ringing double and a single, Keith H. who dented the RightField wall with a laser double and a single, and Kenny P. who also collected 2 hits. The Reds defense didn't let down either and included solid plays from 1B Keith H., Catcher Ben Z., 2B Jon C. on a bases loaded, no out, 4-3 double play that included tagging the runner on the way to second, and the monster webgem of the game- a backhand stab in the hole by SS Kevin R. and a long throw across the diamond to end the 6th inning. The Rockies were led by Nikko W., Daniel A., and a solid all-round game by 3B Andres Gopnick-Lewensky. The Reds will now represent NOLL in the District 4 TOC and will play on Tues.
