| Team Summaries | Reds Notes: The only thing hotter than the HEAT at Caldecott were the Reds bats as they scored in all but one inning in route to a 19-7 win over a game Firebirds squad. Kevin R. led the hit parade with 4 hits. Andrew C. collected 3 hits, scored 4 runs and reached base safely 5 times. Kenny P. also collected 3 hits while Tim M., Keith H. and Jon C. also had multi-hit games. Jon also reached base 5 times as the Reds did their best imitation of the 1970's Big Red Machine! Pitching was solid as many players received work and the defense showed signs of brilliance and included some sterling outfield catches from Tim M. in deep left field and Keving R. in right center to end the game. The right side of the infield played very well and kept the Firebirds from catching fire early on! The Firebirds were led by Thomas W., Ted R., Ben B., and Michael G. who all delivered timely hits and made fine plays in the field. Firebirds Notes: |
