| Game Summary | In a close game that took an extra inning to decide, the Rivercats and the Stars put on a hitting clinic. The Rivercats took an early lead with RBI singles from Cristian H and Eli W in the first, and a lead-off single by Josh W followed by RBIs from Gabe B and Aidan S added two more runs in the second. The Stars came roaring back with a lead-off single by Jerry M followed by an RBI double from Lito A. Hits by Jason A and Collin L scored two more runs, and the Stars pulled within one after two. Solid pitching from Cristian H and Matthew L of the Rivercats and Jerry M and Dario B of the Stars kept the score close through four. The Rivercats scored 5 runs in the fifth, led by a double from Alex C with the bases loaded. Eli H shut down the Rivercat bats in the sixth, and the Stars rallied in the bottom half with hits from Calvin W, Wesley E, Ben L, Eli H and a double from Jerry M to pull within one. With two outs, Jason A delivered a clutch single to bring home the tying run. With the game on the line and headed into extra innings, the Rivercat bats took over with doubles from Cristian H, Eli W, Josh W and Jack B in a 9-run inning. Closer Jack B kept the Stars in check in the bottom half, and a close play at home for the third out ended the game. | ||
