| Game Summary | Another beautiful night for baseball in Berkeley, and both the Rockies and the Pelicans came ready to play! The Pels loaded the bases in the top of the first, but couldn't close the deal, stranding 3. The Pelicans began to show a little life in the second, after firstbaseman Eric M called for an appeal at first on what was ostensibly a 2-run triple by Rocky Greg L. The out seemed to fire up the team, and Andy S and Ali W-S manufactured a run in the third. The Pels put 5 runs on the board in the fifth inning. The offensive explosion was highlighted by Andy S's double and Ali W-S's triple. Sam C and Kevin H turned a nifty double play to close out the 6th inning, but the Pels couldn't close the 10-5 gap. |
