EvanH, in his major division pitching debut, was masterful, going the distance, scattering baserunners and allowing only 5 hits in total. He was assisted ably by shortstop KaniC and third baseman SpencerW, who both made numerous assists in the infield. SpencerW and KaniC each added 3 hits, as the Brewers sent 12 batters to the plate in the 1st inning to break out to a 7 run lead. Tiger pitcher JulianM, in releif, shut down the Brewer onslaught in the opening frame, and then allowed just 4 hits thereafter to keep the Tigers in the hunt.
