The Golden Bears picked up their 4th win of the season by holding off the hard charging Wildcats. The Golden Bears’ front court of Cameron Yuen, A. J. Tong, Ryan Lym and Ben Yue came up big scoring 11 points and grabbing 16 re-bounds, easily their best effort of the season. Tight defense by Mikey Lee and a late basket by Conner Dempsy clinched the game for the Bears. The Wildcats rebounded from a slow first half with an excellent second half defensively. Isaiah Harris led the scoring with eight points, including a trifecta, and added eight rebounds and five steals. Jared Kathman added another trey, with six hard-fought points and three blocks in the paint. Guillermo Ruiz handled the ball well and played hard-nosed defense, with four steals, two blocks and six rebounds. Kyle Kathman fought through the contact and was three-for-three from the charity stripe. Connor Waterloo gathered three rebounds and dribbled the ball well up the floor. |
