| Game Summary | The Monarchs outlasted the Devil Rays 16-13 in a closely fought battle at OAB. The score was deadlocked 7-7 after 3 innings before the Monarchs scored 8 runs in the top of the 4th. Devil Ray reliever Daniel D, with help from Conor C, stopped the Monarch rally, allowing the Devil Rays to battle back with 4 in the 4th and 2 more in the 6th, but they could not quite close the gap. For the Monarchs, Jack H had 2 singles and scored 3 runs, while Matthew H had a great overall game with 3 runs scored, a scoreless inning of pitching and a fine defensive play at second base. Garrett S also came up big with a single, a double and 2 catches in left field to quell the Devil Rays 6th inning uprising. For the Devil Rays, Sebastian K doubled and scored twice, Marco I singled and drove in three runs, and Cinque M had his first hit of the season, a line drive single to right. | ||
