West Hartford Sr. Black handily defeated Somers on Monday, 14-4. High scorers were Liz Brown with 4 goals, Chas Kerin with 3 goals, 2 assists, Nikki Huynh with 2 goals, 3 assists and Abby Doelger with 3 goals, one assist. Other scorers each with a goal & assist were Caroline Dwyer and Sarah Steinle. Sam Molodetz help set up goals with 3 assists and kayleigh Donnely was a ground ball machine. Outstanding players included Jenna Binkhorst, Anna Bersin and Abby Condon on defense. Other great efforts by Claire Wheeler, Avery Pearce, Bailey Kelly, Melanie Reagan, Delaney Kelly, Nikki Rodriguez, Kim Van Paternos and lauren Cannon help make this a decisive victory. Once again, the opposition's offense was snuffed by terrific goaltending. Julia Szafman made 14 saves, many of them into blinding sun. |
