| Team Summaries | Issaquah Notes: Nanaimo 2-3-5-2- 12 Issaquah 0-1-6-1- 8 Issaquah put up a great fight in the 3rd quarter after it woke up from whatever funk to start the game offensively. The defense was alive from the start as Logan Pinel made several big saves to keep it close in the first half. Despite going down 5-0, it could have easily been 10-0 if not for Pinel. The Eagle offense was a mess, settling for poor shots and failing to execute fundamentals on some early man-up chances. The 2nd quarter saw a better effort, but a struggle to locate the net. Freshman, Oliver Link broke the ice with a man-up laser to give Issaquah an ounce of momentum at half. A wild 3rd quarter saw 11 goals total. Issaquah scored first on another man-up before Nanaimo built an 8-2 lead. Issaquah finally showed some gumption and fought back, scoring 5 more goals in the quarter and cutting the lead to to 3 on three different occasions, including to end the quarter. However the 4th quarter was sloppy both ways and in the end, staking Nanaimo to a 5-0 lead proved vital as Issaquah fell by 4. Nanaimo (BC) Notes: |
