| Team Summaries | Express Notes: Tom was the best umpire of the season. His strike zone was amazing. He is the only one I have seen all year calling the low strike. An what a difference that makes in the game! By calling that pitch, the game moved along beautifully despite some dicey pitching (though there was quite a bit of good pitching in this game as well). We got six innings in easily. Batters were swinging. Balls were put in play. There were several plays right in front of the plate for the catchers and pitchers. I hope the league encourages all umpires to open up the strike zone near the knees. And please send my personal regards to Tom. - Coach Weldon Express. Marauders Notes: |
